Completed by BPI’s Bicester based painter / decorators and bathroom fitters, this was a full renovation of a rental property including a new bathroom.
Bathroom Installation
This was an ageing bathroom that the Landlord wanted replacing with something more modern and clean looking. The existing suite was removed and the walls were re plastered to ensure the best possible surface for tiling. The bathroom floor was lined with 6mm plywood and then a vinyl flooring was fitted. The walls were fully tiled with mid size white gloss tiles and finished white grout. A rounded edge white trim was used to complete all edges.
Because the water pressure was poor, we installed a shower pump in the airing cupboard. A new mixer shower was then fitted over a new bath. A new shower screen was fitted over the bath as well as a new RAK toilet.
A new basin with pedestal and chrome radiator were also installed by our Bicester based qualified plumber.
Interior Painting & Decorating
This property was a victim of over 15 years of smoking and nearly all of the inside was nicotine stained. Emulsion alone will not cover the yellow and brown of nicotine stains. After scrubbing the walls, we used nearly 10L of stain block and painted the entire property with this prior to any paint application. This ensured the nicotine was completely blocked.
All rooms within this three bedroom property were fully decorated with white ceiling, magnolia walls and white satinwood finish to all woodwork.
Exterior Painting & Decorating
The exterior of this end of terrance house was in need of some improvement as two sides were very exposed to the weather. After removing any loose existing paint, we applied two coats of flexible exterior paint by Andura to help prevent cracks in the paint.
